My name is Alexandria (you can call me Alex)

 

I live in a small town outside of Buffalo NY.

 Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be an artist. I have always loved faces and I have always specialized in portrait work. I found Harry Potter at a very young age. My reading was so poor when I was in grade school that I was held back. Struggling to keep up with the other kids, being bullied quite a bit and not really fitting in anywhere, Harry Potter became my saving grace. When I was forced to read it, I soon discovered another form of escape outside of my art. I began to love reading and was in advanced classes all the way until college, surpassing my peers and nurturing my imagination.

 I continued to pursue my dream at becoming an artist and after many years, moved into a bus with my husband and puppy and said "it’s now or never, I’m going to make this work". However my hopes of travel and creating art on the road were quickly put on pause due to Covid.

 With my imagination at a standstill and feeling like I was stuck in some sort of artist block purgatory, I found inspiration for a new project. Seeing creative and talented people online, I too wanted to spread some magic and so I began creating wands. Inspired by the franchise that molded my childhood as well as countless others such as Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, The Nightmare Before Christmas and so on, these movies and books nurtured my imagination as well as fellow creators online.

Creating custom wands slowly morphed into creating custom shoes and I found my true passion in creature (BEAST) making. I absolutely love making art dolls. Each on is hand sculpted and created by me from start to finish. Every beast is unique in every way. My imagination runs wild when I see how talented and creative people are and fellow artists inspire me everyday.
